Editorial policy
Trusted Policy Review aims to explain public policy clearly, fairly and with enough context for readers to follow the reasoning. We do not present general explanations as professional advice or as a substitute for checking authoritative information relevant to a particular situation.
Accuracy and context
We check the meaning of key terms, distinguish proposals from decisions and decisions from delivery, and avoid implying that an example proves a general rule. Policy processes differ across places and institutions, so we identify relevant context where it affects an explanation. If evidence or interpretation is unsettled, we describe the uncertainty rather than claim a definitive answer.
Independence and judgement
Editorial choices are made for reader value and clarity. We aim to describe competing arguments accurately, identify assumptions and separate analysis from established facts. A clear account does not require false balance: claims are presented in proportion to the support and context available.
Corrections
Readers can report an error or omission through the Contact page. We review specific, verifiable concerns and amend material when warranted, making the nature of a significant correction clear to readers.
Partners and illustrations
Any paid, sponsored or partner material is clearly identified as such and kept distinct from independent editorial coverage. A partnership does not guarantee favourable editorial treatment. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; they are illustrative rather than documentary and should not be read as evidence.
